Welcome to bim, a static site generator that puts content first.

Why Another Static Site Generator?

Most static site generators require you to:

• Write YAML front matter in every file
• Learn a template DSL
• Configure complex build pipelines

bim takes a different approach. Your filesystem is the configuration. Dates come from filenames. Titles come from headings. Links come from Markdown.

Getting Started

1. Create your content in Markdown files
2. Organize files into collections (blog, notes, snippets, etc.)
3. Run bim build

That's it. No configuration files needed.
